Edward Gorey

I usually use a lot of black pen in my illustrations, and looking at Edward Gorey's work has really inspired me in the way that he uses a pen. I love the pattern that he uses for the background, and the contrast between the white space and the dark pattern in the background shown in 'k is for kate' illustration.
